Who is Niganit?[edit]

My American name is Richard J. Wersinger. Some call me Rich, some Mr. Wersinger, some Mr. W. Some time ago, my daughter even called me Dad. But that is another long story for a future posting. My Dad, until the day he died, called me Richie, and my Mom and sister call me Richard. And, sweetly, my dear bride of five years (married 30 May 2003) addresses me as "My Sweetheart."

Niganit, I am told, is an American Indian, Lenni Lennape (Delaware Indians) word or name meaning, roughly, "Foremost One." It was bestowed upon me when I was inducted into the Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow of the Boy Scouts of America in 1966.

So, I have found real joy and genuine happiness in my life here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest since 1998.

I have contributed to Wikipedia's Mac Plus entry in July 2003.

Teaching Stuff[edit]

From July 1999 until December 2005, I taught at Heald College, Portland, Oregon campus and maintain a Web site for my Students at MrWteaches. They can find info about their courses, about their teacher (that's me!), and their assignments.

Blessings, Rich
