Hello

Please don't remove items from Wikipedia:Votes for deletion, doing so borders on vandalism. Maximus Rex 22:45, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)

If you keep up the vandalism, you will be blocked from editing this site. - Hephaestos|§ 23:01, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Why are you changing links from Barry White to Fat Barry White? Maximus Rex 18:43, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

If you do this again you will be blocked. This is vandalism. Maximus Rex 18:47, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Please do not insult people with your offensive opinions, this counts as vandalism. Sticky2004 19:53, 29 Mar 2003 (UTC)

G'day.

As I guess you know, your attempts at humour regarding Wacky Banno Dancing and other topics are not appreciated, nor are your attemps to promote them to BJAODN.

At the same time, you seem to have made some contributions. And these are welcome.

Please bear in mind:

 • Deleting joke articles and reverting joke edits takes time that we'd rather be spending elsewhere
 • The function of BJAODN is to provide a release for people who work hard on Wikipedia, not a showcase for other people who waste our time
 • Wikipedians do have a sense of humour, the very existence of BJAODN proves that
 • Our patience as a community is legendary but limited
 • The function of all the pages, including user pages, VfD and BJAODN is to support the building of an encyclopedia. Any other use is abuse.

I strongly suggest that, if you like this community, you concentrate on setting a record of useful edits, and leave the administration issues, especially VfD and BJAODN, to others who do have this record. If others think your jokes are funny, they'll get laughed at and maybe even kept in an appropriate way.

This also applies to any of your friends who actually exist and edit, although in view of your current record and the fact that they use the same IP as you do, please don't be insulted if we don't take your word for this. Andrewa 20:18, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

You are as likley to get blocked as your mate Sticky. Secretlondon 18:56, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Do you know what slander is? Posting items like that could get you sued. As well as blocked from editing. And posting misleading edit summaries is also a good way to get blocked. RickK 20:18, Jun 23, 2004 (UTC)

Hi Ed - Im noticing all your redirects to Uwe Schmidt -I encourge you to cut it out for a bit, and ask for some consensus to the community try The Pump - where most chat goes on. There doesnt appear to be a need for them, so, I want to clue you in before it becomes too much. Thanks. Stevertigo

I think they are fine - redirects are generally seen as good. Secretlondon 22:08, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Hi. Replacing Image:Lion.jpg with Image:Leon.jpg is not funny. Don't do it again! -- Chris 73 | Talk 15:17, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Article Licensing[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Ongaku[edit]

The article Ongaku has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No external sources, no evidence of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
