Ken Jennings' Placement[edit]

Second of all, there's really no way of telling how much of a run a player can go on unless you have the statistics from their games to plug into a complicated model that takes everything to account. Hey, for all we know, Ken could have gone on for 100 games! And I agree with the people seeded into Round 2, including Tom Walsh and Sean Ryan. Sean was the first to win more than 5, and Tom Walsh broke the winnings records. I felt that the Jeopardy! producers had the most subjective formula possible -- and I applaud them for it. --OntarioQuizzer 18:03, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I see your point but would you think other people would have similar stamina to endure 75 games? I'm sorry that I expressed that Tom Walsh and Sean Ryan shouldn't be starting in Round 2. They were the forerunners for contestants going more than 5 games. But as Ken Jennings said, it was luck that won him 75 games and $2,520,700. I think he should have a bye, but not to the finals.--Hanfei 22:36, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
