Hi. I expect I'll contribute a tiny bit now and then.

I am amazed at how much Wikipedia has grown in the last year or two since I first noticed it (since sometime in 2002 thru early 2004).

Yochai Benkler wrote an interesting paper Coase's Penguin, or Linux and the Nature of the Firm which is (IMHO) the definitive paper about how an important new means of production (which he calls "commons-based peer-production") has emerged since we now have the Internet. Wikipedia seems to be one of the best examples of this.
