hello[edit]

Hi Suzanne,

I happened to be editing Chris Layton at the same time as you. Your name is very familiar in connection with SRV, but I can't find anything. Were you a member of an SRV mailing list for example--or is there another connection? Regards Outriggr 06:13, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Joan Alexander[edit]

What a great link. I kind of adopted the Joan page when I got frustrated at how devoid of information it was. I almost felt like I was intruding on her privacy as I did research. I'd like to find verifiable citations for the articles from the TV.com stuff, as it was pretty interesting.

From what I have pieced together, the surgeon husband is probably Jane's father, and Stanton would be her second husband.

I am also trying to persuade the superman boys that Joan is a major superman property, and is getting up there in years.

Anyway, I watch her on GSN every night, and I can tell the Name episodes are about to run out. I think Bob & Ray are its last hosts, and I do remeber Ralston is its last sponsor.--K3vin (talk) 23:51, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Octopus[edit]

I don't want to rain on your parade, but despite its two helicopters and two submarines, at 413', Octopus isn't the worlds largest privately owned yatch. (Rising Sun (yacht) is 452', and Eclipse (yacht) is/will be 548'.) Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 09:46, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. There was no parade or rain in sight. I did not make the PDF file, I merely provided the link and used the title that was on page one of the PDF file. I will edit the file description. Nice photos on your site. Suzanne (talk) 19 April 2009
"Hi. There was no parade or rain in sight." - Good! I didn't want to be a "wet blanket".
"I did not make the PDF file, I merely provided the link" - I expected it was something like that.
"Nice photos on your site" - Thank you! (I think they're attractive; it's nice to hear I'm not alone.)

I've reverted your edit - it wasn't a typo. The word is conceit: in literary terms, a conceit an extended metaphor with a complex logic that governs an entire poem or poetic passage. By juxtaposing, usurping and manipulating images and ideas in surprising ways, a conceit invites the reader into a more sophisticated understanding of an object of comparison. That's what Dickens was doing in his original version of the story. Hope this helps. 86.138.46.93 (talk) 12:54, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of gangs in the United States appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
