Hi Immanuel Giel, I saw the list of chemical element name etymologies, and I must say, I'm impressed. You've put some great information on there. This could be a great featured list candidate, but first, you will need to add some references, and even if you don't want to apply for featured list status, it would be really helpful if you cite your sources. The individual element articles have some references on there to help you get started. Thanks! --Spangineeres (háblame) 15:16, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Fischy Music[edit]

A tag has been placed on Fischy Music, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 21:00, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of The Game (dice game)[edit]

I have nominated The Game (dice game), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Game (dice game). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. DreamGuy (talk) 16:46, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I just noticed you created an article on the winged word back in 2007. It's grown quite a bit. Are there any good sources that would support the existence of this term and article? Viriditas (talk) 04:51, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Winged word for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Winged word is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Cassiopium[edit]

Hello Immanuel, great to see that you've been around for such a long time! I just read List of chemical elements naming controversies and stumbled over the statement "some German chemists still use cassiopium instead of lutetium", which I have a hard time believing, and thus marked with {{cn}}. Further research showed that it ultimately came from you, from this edit, which gives it more credibility for me. Would you have a source for it? — Sebastian 22:25, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The name Cassiopeium (Cp) proposed by Carl Auer von Welsbach in the early 20 century was used until 1949 among German scientists, but is no longer in use. Does this bit of information help you? --Immanuel Giel (talk) 12:30, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it does, thank you. So I removed the half sentence. That Germans until the end of WW2 would stubbornly hold on to their own name is no big news, and the fact that some might have still have used that innocuous name a few years after is hardly encyclopedic. If you disagree and have a source for the exact year, I'd suggest a better place would be in the preceding paragraph, where both Auer von Welsbach and Cassiopeium are mentioned. — Sebastian 16:28, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
