Stan is a bowling pinsetter mechanic in central New Jersey. He almost got a degree in art, but then he split for a few years and is scrambling to finish his degree now that he has learned that he could end up working in a bowling alley forever. He is involved in many really worthwhile projects, like ameteur night at the local comedy club, working on the website for a local community radio station, and not taking care of his commitments and obligations.

He spends a lot of time reading too.
