Does this actually exist, or is this a Wikipedia user propounding a hypothetical spam-filtering mechanism? It should be noted that the mechanism described is unlikely to work for any spam which uses random text elements -- such spam is already being used by spammers to weaken Bayesian filters. --FOo 01:41, 5 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be. I googled and found part of a test (on spam filtering) at http://www.comp.leeds.ac.uk/sy11/mcqs2004/spam_filtering.html that is by the university of Leeds, school of computing. That seems to give it academic validity. RJFJR 00:08, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
