Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Indo-European Alphabet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original research, or more properly, original invention of a new idiosyncratic phonetic alphabet never before used anywhere. Seemingly this article is the "primary source". Jallan 23:06, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Nifty, but delete. If the idea gains any currency elsewhere we can of course have an article on it, but Wikipedia is not the place to publish new proposals of this sort. —No-One Jones 23:16, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Yes, lovely, but not encyclopaedic I'm afraid. There are already several phonetic conventions for such things, so I don't anticipate this particular scheme catching fire any time soon. Delete. Fire Star 00:13, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete, original research. Happily, the article author has been informed, it would be a bit rude to whisk it away without telling him and giving him a chance to post it elsewhere. —Stormie 00:53, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: Original research. I still don't see what's wrong with the present alphabet. It's the pronunciation that's all wrong. :-) Geogre 04:00, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the compliments, sorry for not realizing the policy, delete. Xyzzyva 05:30, Aug 20, 2004 (UTC)
