I work for Canonical on the Launchpad team. I'm the best person to talk to about Launchpad, if you want to know more about it.

My main spare time project, at the moment, is http://www.lugradio.org/ which is an online radio show, aimed at the Linux/open source community.

My homepage - http://www.understated.co.uk/ - has a little info about me.

Matthew Revell is a writer and marketer involved in open source software. He works for Canonical as Launchpad Marketing Manager and is the founder and co-presenter of the LugRadio podcast.

He writes occasional articles and blog posts on marketing's relevance to the open source community, including a general introduction to marketing open source software.

He lives in Wolverhampton, in England.

Politics[edit]

On March 24, 2007, Revell announced his intention to stand for the Conservatives in the electoral ward of Graiseley, Wolverhampton, in the 2007 local council elections, to be held on 3 May. Graiseley has been held by Labour in previous elections[1][2], and Revell hopes to change this: "The Labour Party believe that they know best how to spend our money and how we should live our lives. [I think] it’s about time Labour face a serious challenge in Graiseley. The Conservatives are best placed to mount that challenge, even if they haven’t in recent years."[3]
