An infinite hobby is one which has no finite boundries.

Wikipedia could be described as an infinite hobby due to the limitless amount of cataloging that would be involved in describing everything that is known about the human race.

As such this hobby could become all-consuming and lead to entering information at the expense of all other hobbies. This would enevitibly lead to a lack of information to add to the Wikipedia since, without any external references, the user would have nothing to add to the Wikipedia.
