The fugitive law was a law that was passed by the compromise of 1850.Even when slave escaped from the under ground railroad to the northern free state where slavery was not aloud . This law made slave go back to their cruel owner.The under ground railroad was a path that helped slaves escape to freedom .Harriet Tubman led this path.
