Is this organisation helpful? I'm not sure. For one thing, official accident reports do not mention the name of the carrier or the flight number it was operating under, they usually only report the registration number of the aircraft. However, what is important is that a particular incident or accident is quickly located by someone wishing to find the details - usually the carrier and flight number are not the most obvious starting points for such a search. Chronology and location would probably be a lot more useful in terms of finding an incident, and the article itself could mention the carrier and flight number. For example most people might remember that a plane went down in the Potomac river in the early 80s, but that's all they recall - this list will not help them find that incident. Another problem with this organisation is that conceivably, the same flight number could crash more than once. Of course it would be separate aircraft, but this list wouldn't allow you to tell which it was. As far as I know this has never happened, but it could one day. Graham 04:28, 11 Dec 2003 (UTC)
