S.H.E.[edit]

Are you listing S.H.E. on VFD or not? Because if you're not, you need to remove the deletion notice and get an admin to delete the VFD page for the entry. --Lowellian 01:43, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

I want to but I couldn't get it working properly for some reason, and then when I went back to search for the article S.H.E. there was nothing found so I thought one of the admins might have insta-deleted it. I would still like to list it as a VfD though, could you help me get it working properly? --Alex Krupp 02:01, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

Well...hold on. First, it's extremely unlikely that if you list this page on VFD, it will actually get deleted, and second, I will vote against the article being deleted if you list it. I'm not sure of your background, so you may not be aware that S.H.E. is a hugely popular band in East Asia (the equivalent of, say, Britney Spears in the United States), and they definitely deserve an article. We're not talking some obscure band operating out of a garage here; we're talking a group of singers with multi-million dollar contracts. Far more obscure bands than S.H.E. have survived VFD.

Having said that, it is your right to list the article on VFD if you want, so I can help you get it working properly if you insist on going ahead with it. --Lowellian 06:41, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC) (Oh, and by the way, I generally prefer people to post responses to my comments on my talk page, because it helps get my attention.)

If you think some of the content is non-encyclopedic, either edit the content or list it on Wikipedia:Cleanup by using the {{cleanup}} tag, but do not list it on VFD unless the article should not exist at all. I've removed the VFD tag and deleted the VFD page. --Lowellian 18:14, Oct 4, 2004 (UTC)

Nomic[edit]

Nomic good, on wikipedia not good. And we need more players before we start :-) But otherwise, yeah sure, why not.

Keep your eyes open for other potential players. :-)

Request for investigation (169.200.204.36)[edit]

Hello Alex3917. Concerning your request for investigation, there's no reason to indefinitely block 169.200.204.36. Except for the spam on the twentieth of March, the IP address appears to be a shared IP with mostly good contributions. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 03:53, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

college rowing (association)[edit]

At College rowing (United States) please revise this sentence. "Washington decided to skip the IRA because of change in schedule conflicted with it finals." Does it refer to academic final exams at UW and a late(?) change in the IRA schedule? Note, in the discussion there I have noted an early college rowing association.

Recently I revised many "year in sports" articles to use a Rowing section, adding some Harvard-Yale listings along the way. Most of the rowing was Oxford-Cambridge in a Boat Race section, miscellany in Other or Events. All this concerns 1870s and earlier, as I added mainly baseball listings and made the years in sports articles more consistent from year to year.

Are you in "on" the Connecticut River? --P64 23:40, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of things that come on sticks[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of things that come on sticks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of List of things that come on sticks. Talk:Adult FriendFinder - article & discussion pages - &/or both of these[edit]

Re:- the subject of "reading" - or should that be - NON_READING of messages - on ANY of the FFN sites - for NON members (& apparently - at least ONE silver - who wrote to me ? expressing concern that she "thought" it a bogus site -? as even though a "paying silver member - she COULDn't read HER messages)...???

BUT I CAN.

& I can send - to anyone - well at least those - whom like me - HAVE clicked the "anyone can contact" option - as well as ANYONE CAN READ MY "PROFILE" (open cupid) settings.

HOW?

Well gee - apparently - it takes an "Old_Fodgie" Tight_Wadded ... (scrooge mcduck ain't got no $.spots on me) KIWI "Innovative_Entreprenuer" - to find this one?

To discover a very "SIMPLE METHOD". (Much the same as I "accidentally" discovered - MULTIPLE CHANNEL "analogue" SurroundSound effects - upwards of the TWENTYFIVE & more - I am currently testing - & I make Deplexer_Decoders in the order of TEN channels - fairly regularly - having "STARTED" with a basic 3x channel system - then a seven ch. soon after - in 1965 ... but that's NOT why I'm on FFN - well mostly why not - OK - dammit - I'm looking for a 'partner' - in well every sense - to assist with making these audio things - ? but she's gota be a 4real female - not a bogus profile...)

Thus - Back to the real subject.(?) Reading messages.

Hi folks... DON't pay no money - (yet) Just whip the 'contents' of your message inboxes, along with sender info etc etc... AND DO A SIMPLE CUT & PASTE.

Why? Well - I did.

As I wanted to "save" messages - that were going to Auto-Delete - as I hadn't been able to READ (on-site) - in the 30 day period...

Thus - I thought ? If I send them to my "off_site" (main NZ Company) email addie... I'll have a copy - for when I eventually - in a year or three - "ever_pay"?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ... oops. Imagine my "extreme delight" ... when I went to 'proof_read' that pasting.

There in all it's infinite & wonderfully exposed freedom... THE ENTIRE CONTENT - of every message.

(Alas) - ? I was thus saddened... When these "arrived" at my Outlook Express Mail - they were AGAIN HIDDEN?

Solution - CUT & PASTE to wordpad (or was that Notepad) who cares - ? I CAN READ THESE whilst PROOF READING - & just as "simply" answering either via a "PROFILE UPDATE MESSAGE" - or via the message_member an "email" (often available) from their "profile" pages.

Thus - somewhere - in BOTH of your WIKI pages - the reference that ONE MUST PAY - to read & send mail? Sorry - that bit is "FALSE".

MESSAGES CAN BE READ & ANSWERED. By ALL free membership USERS (or should that read - abusers)?.

Cheers...

Oh - & if one wants to "read" great dollops of hitherto unrelated "blogs" on Audiophile heaven - being "MEGA" multiple_channel surround_sound - (from even the lowest form of "stereo" - such as a basic i_POD - using analogue Deplexer_Decoders - made - of course - in New Zealand - by this "lowly" KIWI "Innovative_Entrepeneur" - whom just happens to be on "just_about" every FFN site - either by his own hand - as 3dTripello, or was that Tripello3D?

or by Various Inc - dumping "mirror_image_profiles" OF me - (YES ALL PICS, INFO & LAYOUT - EXACTLY THE SAME...) - across many an FFN_SITE - that even "I" am not aware of (yet) - ?

Although I found "ANOTHER" - what was it - youthdot com something (today)?

Anyway - BACK to your need to "discover" Audiophille Heaven (If so) Then just GOOGLE ... something as ordinary - as:- Oh (I dunno) - You could try (one of) my FFN Username(s) ?

3D Tripello,

or

Tripello 3D

(both) tradename/words very similar to this one:-

"enneagon.ophonic"

(Oh - & that reminds me - Various Inc., has "COPIED" two of my "own" hand drawn pictures - & dropped these into one of their "sites" - without my Authority ... to their detriment as it ALSO comes back to haunt them, when one "SEARCHES" my brand_name - "enneagon.ophonic" - which points straight to an FFN site? thus - simply "verifies" my actual presence - as "SEARCHED" by one of their STAFF - somewhere on their systems. BUT these pictures, were NEVER uloaded from an FFN site, but rather "pilferred" by Various Inc... from my COMPANY webpage, or from my Spaces.Live BLOG - or one of my many Blogspot dot com "pages")

Or - getting away from that FFN (HIGHLY SUSS "Various Fraudster") ...

Thus one can "search" many things - & Maybe even a "descriptive_term" such as;-

Analogue Deplexer-Decoder

or

3D & 4D Surround_Sound

Gosh - even my "comedy_statement" of:

Bob's ur uncle, Trev's ur friend & Willy doesn't know (?)

(Well) This will grab another 'site', (or ten), being more BLOG's of mine...

Or go directly - to (one of the MANY RELATED "sites" - I RUN):-

www.quix4u.com

Cheers. (This "someone" - at) QUIX - NZ

(AND YES - I fully expect some dweeb - maybe an FFN rep - or possibly a wiki "over-exuberant" - to eventually 'delete' this info - but by then - it WILL BE SEEN _ by many - before that happens ... & thus will serve it's own purposes - (mainly in ensuring written copyrights of my AUDIO INFO) - as well as to inform FFN users - of HOW to read messages - without PAYING great dollops of very hard to come by - MONEY)

Adrianne Wadewitz Memorial edit-a-thons[edit]

Adrianne Wadewitz edit-a-thons in Southern New England

The events are as follows:

We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time.
