Hello, welcome to Wikipedia.

Please read the criteria for inclusion of biographies. I feel that some of the people you are adding may not be worthy for an encyclopedia entry. They are listed for deletion.

Hi Doctorbozzball,

Some of your additions haven't been particularly encyclopaedic, indeed Mr. Coleman has sadly been deleted. Clearly some people don't appreciate the things he is capable of...

There are some useful pages about how to write articles, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines and Wikipedia:How to edit a page aren't bad places to start.

Anyway, have fun -- Ams80 23:55, 13 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Your comment on the votes for deletion page made me laugh, but I'm really not! Angela 02:40, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Luke Pebody[edit]

Hello. I'm here to ask you about that rather controversial Luke Pebody article. Wikipedia is supposed to summarise the body of human knowledge, rather than adding to it, so we only include information that has been published elsewhere. Information that we have on someone from personal knowledge, while it may be interesting, isn't appropriate for inclusion, because other people have no way of verifying that it is true. I'm not sure if you've done that in the case of Luke Pebody, but since you know about him, I was wondering if you could clarify which parts of his article are verifiable from publically available knowledge (which arguably could be kept), and which parts aren't (which should be removed). The argument at Talk:Luke Pebody is a bit of a mess at the moment, because issues of verifiability are being discussed alongside issues of importance, and I think it would make everything a lot easier if we could resolve the former issue first. Anyway, it's good to have you here as a contributor. I hope you stick around! -- Oliver P. 20:28, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Doctorbozzball! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 951 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Luke Pebody - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
