This article doesn't make any sense due to the lack of context. Can someone put a nice intro? I will appreciate. -- Taku 04:17 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

Carrying a stick or a symbolic staff of office can often denote social rank or prestige. Whats wrong? Susan Mason

Because the article doesn't explain what is staff of office. It may be a new computer produced by Apple computer or whatever. If it is a typical staff like one wizard carries, the article first says it. -- Taku 04:31 Mar 4, 2003 (UTC)

I propose moving Walking stick#Ecclesiastical use contents into this article.

As far as I am aware, the term "walking stick" is not used for the various ecclesiastical staffs: the term is not mentioned here. I will try to find a few references as well. Please discuss at Talk:Walking stick#Move proposal: section Ecclesiastical use to Staff of office where I have also left a message. Mirokado (talk) 20:58, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dodsmen?[edit]

This word doesn't show up in the dictionary. If it's ok, can someone find the meaning of this word? Komitsuki (talk) 08:05, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
