This is one where it's going to be both important and difficult to stick to facts rather than propaganda. Vicki Rosenzweig 14:49, 28 Oct 2003 (UTC)

(1) Most of the undisputed information in this is already in the original article; (2) some of the assumptions made are, at best, questionable; (3) the Bremer quote seems like an attempt to incorporate propaganda into the article, as does the change in title; (4) overall, the original article does not make assumptions of motive, whereas this piece does.

"Paul Bremer, the U.S. civilian administrator in Iraq, sees the US as paving the road to democracy and freedom for the Iraqi people."

Well, it'd be news if he didn't, wouldn't it? :-) CaseyBennetto 12:00, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)

This is an objection to content, not to the logic of a merge of the topics. The two articles are in any conceptual sense redundant, it's clear which 'direction' the merge should happen in, so I see no reason to 'dispute' the merge-tag. (If you're going to say, "done, already", that's quite a different matter.) Alai 19:31, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I think it is done already, all of the NPOV info anyway. This page should be deleted. --CaseyBennetto 01:59, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
