Wisconsin?[edit]

"Golda Meir of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, becomes Prime Minister of Israel."

This sort of Amero-centricism is idiotic. Isn't there anything more important you could say about the first female prime minister of Israel (third in the whole world!) other than the fact that she spent fifteen years of her life in the United States? 134.74.21.230 18:56, 14 March 2007 (UTC) -I don't think it's that important, and I'm Israeli. -niviman.94.159.157.75 (talk) 15:56, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Relief Society Organization[edit]

Mufka, I noticed you removed my addition of the organization of the Relief Society that happened on this day, 1842. Did I break any guidelines by adding it or did it need sources? I'm pretty sure I had the links on it correct. Just wondering why it was removed. Thanks! Mateoparks (talk) 22:57, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The founding of most organizations are not globally notable in and of themselves. Even if organizations ultimately have global impact, the date of the founding generally is not notable. This date does not mark a turning point in society or a social milestone. It also seems that this particular society would have little impact or notability outside the LDS. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 23:22, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1966 Alvin[edit]

Page on the Palomar incident says they started looking for the missing hydrogen bomb on this day, only locating it on 7 April. Which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.194.145.67 (talk) 06:29, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Battle of Badr took place on 17 Ramadan in the year 2, which converts to 13 March 624, not 17 March. 173.79.208.33 (talk) 19:38, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Add the birth of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to "On This day"[edit]

Hello, I'd like to request that the birth of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman be added on "On this day"'s birth/death section. He was quite influential in the politics of East Pakistan and of present day Bangladesh. DarkSpartan (talk) 19:25, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
