Original source of Article[edit]

I talked to Dr. Abowd about using his paper for Wikipedia and that it would entail a change of Copyright:

That's fine.

I tried to find a freely downloadable paper by either of them on the subject. Bonnie uses the ACM portal, and her papers are not among the free ones. Wayne's seem to be similarly unavailable. This is the paper in question: http://www.cc.gatech.edu/classes/cs6751_97_fall/projects/closet2000+/ FinalEssays/goms.html It would appear to be part of your curriculum. I would like to use this paper as it is a simplified overview of the GOMS varieties. Separate articles would handle the detailed descriptions. Sorry to take you time, I appreciate it. Zach Lym

Dear Dr. Abowd The Wikipedia page is quite bare on the subject of Goms. I was wondering if I could place your Final Essay - GOMS Analysis Techniques on Wikipedia. This would entail putting it under the GFDL, a copyleft license from the Gnu organization.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights -The wikipedia page explaining their copyright circumstances.

Thank you Zach

Please note I obfusciated his email link by replacing the "at" symbol with **obfuscated email link** I am not sure why that box is showing up... This was a rather big edit, and I am sure I missed a changing self references and various other minor grammarical errors. Someone please check it. I do know that the references/external links is screwed up. How do I refer to the original source now?

Read over Dr. Abowd's email. This was material (a report) from students who took his course. It's not Dr. Abowd's "final essay". And furthermore, Dr. Abowd says to consult another source...when are people on wikipedia ever going to actually properly censor material that matter like (this erroneous claim that the report was Dr. Abowd's "final essay") instead of dumb matters which are common knowledge like requiring citations of where someone was born. sheesh.

GOMS model graph deleted?[edit]

I added a graph that illustrates the GOMS model, one that I created myself. I stated the license data when uploading the graph in SVG. Now I came back, and the whole image had been deleted based on the claim that there was insufficient copyright data. I never got notified of the risk of the file being deleted, and do not know who to contact to understand the actual issue. An earlier version is viewable at http://jsfiddle.net/pilpi/6e85r/3/embedded/result/ Please help. Thanks! Pilpi (talk) 13:32, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now noticed the message on my Commons talk page. It seems I didn't adhere to some Commons requirements, after all. Wonder where the notification about that went. Pilpi (talk) 13:42, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Substantial changes to the article[edit]

As part of the coursework for the course 'Interaction Techniques and Technologies' (summer 2015) at the University of Regensburg, Germany, the whole article has been reorganized and extended. Many references have been added. Please feel free to change, revert, or improve anything :) Raphman (talk) 07:22, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
