An English-only google search finds 797 hits for "mussurana", including the Britannica, whereas the only English pages with "muçurana" are Wikipedia mirrors and one page obviously written by a non-native speaker of English. So I feel sure that the English word for this snake is "mussurana". —JerryFriedman 19:55, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Maybe more to the point, "mussurana" is in both the Merriam Webster Unabridged Dictionary (you can tell without subscribing by looking it up at their collegiate dictionary) and the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, while "muçurana" isn't in either. —JerryFriedman 17:07, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The genus is no longer Clelia, it's now Boiruna, species maculata. If anyone knows how to edit the name please do it.(Micrurus 07:55, 19 September 2005 (UTC))[reply]
