I think you can just copy & paste them into a new template page in pa.wiki. You can find the templates here by prefixing the name with 'Template:'. So, for example, reflist is at Template:reflist. You can write each one in the 'search' field and press 'go' to go directly to that page. -- Mentifisto 12:19, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Svgtranslate[edit]

Oh, it's complaining because you haven't translated the other translations. Why they're in the file but not visible, I don't know. Your guess is probably as good as mine regarding how to continue; I would suggest copy-pasting all the Spanish, etc. translations from the elft hand side to any empty boxes on the right. Regards, - Jarry1250 [Deliberation needed] 15:46, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

On that screen, what happens if you press "Go" at the bottom? - Jarry1250 [Deliberation needed] 18:05, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When I press go it is not able to upload the file and says go back on your browser and try again which i have done no. of times but the same result every time.If i leave the site, and next time opening the site will require keying in data again because it is not possible to save keed in data unless file is uploaded. Now I do not have patience to key in again and again 19x5= 95 fields. which is very cumbersome for this tool.--Guglani1 (talk) 15:16, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is very cumbersome (my browser remembers form inputs, so I can just type the first letter - perhaps yours does?). While I look into it, you could use the "manual upload" variety of the tool so at least a translated version does get uploaded, even with the inconvenience. Sorry about this. - Jarry1250 [Deliberation needed] 15:28, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So in manual mode, it doesn't get to the point where it offers you a file download to save? - Jarry1250 [Deliberation needed] 16:33, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That is weird, I'll put it on the todo list. In the meantime, no point trying the interface again, just download the file and open it in Inkscape, edit, reupload -- I would anyway. Sorry for any inconvenience. 92.15.192.172 (talk) 10:47, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hello: Thanks for asking. But I need to know whether in the process will I be renamed at en.wiki locally from Guglani1 to Guglani and Guglani to Guglani(2005-2007).?
  • My second question will my account at pa.wiki and other wikis with name Guglani stay as it is ?
  • in the process I am afraid when I merge newly named Guglani account at en.wiki all contributions with earlier name Guglani at pa.wiki and other wikis may not remain in my history of Global contributions.

Will you please clarify this so that I can make my choice . Alternatively you may suggest how I can retrieve my earlier history of these two SUL accounts with global name Guglani1 and Guglani--Guglani1 (talk) 12:20, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gugliani renamed to Gugliani (2005-2007) ***locally only***, Gugliani1 renamed to Gugliani, then Special:MergeAccount to attach the new Gugliani to your global account. Pa.w, etc remain unaffected and part of the existing global account. –xenotalk 13:48, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In fact accounts named as Guglani at various wiki projects including home wiki at pa.wiki should get attached to renamed Guglani account at en.wiki . In the special merge link you have shown accounts named as Guglani1 at various other wiki projects get attached. I think you will confirm this aspect so that I do not loose contributions with name Guglani on other wiki projects. Although it may look I am asking same question again but it is just to confirm, because I think whole process is irreversible.pl be patient to answer so that I can exercise my choice carefully.otherwise I can tolerate two accounts accounts Guglani1 with no SUL facility and a local account and Guglani name with home account at pa.wiki and other wiki project accounts attached to this Guglani account for SUL facility. Please suggest what is best choice for me from your point of view. -Guglani1 (talk) 15:10, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes once Gugliani1 is renamed to Gugliani you will be able to attach it to the pa and other wiki accounts, those will be entirely unchanged. My suggestion is to proceed as it will be much more convenient for you and there will be no loss of contributions. –xenotalk 19:05, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
thanks!please note name spellings it is Guglani and not Gugliani.--Guglani1 (talk) 00:39, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
yes, sorry for the typo. All is done. Be sure you are logged in to "Guglani" then use the MergeAccount link. –xenotalk 14:39, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notice[edit]

Hello,

It has come to my attention that there is a reasonable possibility that you were made aware of a Request for Comment on the Punjabi language article talk page through an off-Wikipedia email list. Please note that Wikipedia does not allow individuals to selectively notify individuals with the intent of influencing the outcome of a discussion in a particular way. Individuals who receive such emails are encouraged to disregard the contents of the message and leave a message on the individual’s talk page to stop engaging in such activities. Users who are found to engage in further canvassing may be brought to the attention of the administrators’ noticeboard. This may result in sanctions, including revocation of editing privileges. It should be noted that request for comments are closed based upon the merits of the comments presented and whether or not they draw upon Wikipedia policies and utilize reliable, third-party sources to support their statements. The discussion is not a vote, so the closure will not be decided based upon the number of individuals who support a particular side. I hope that this message helps enlighten you on our policies. If you have any questions about these policies, please feel free to reach me on my user talk page. Best regards, Mike VTalk 20:35, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Mike V, Richwales, DeltaQuad, Bbb23, and Amire80: Hello! It is surprising that I am being cautioned as a result of accusation raised by user: Anupam for having been canvassed for discussions on talk page of Punjabi Language. My reply is as under:

I have a long editing history at wikipedia projects including commons, English wiki ,Punjabi wiki and so on. i watch articles on subjects like Punjabi culture, Punjabi language , science engineering so many others and have kept many pages on my watch list since long.I have great respect for Five paillars for wikipedia and its policies. To prove my long association look here [here]Proof of my part in discussion of my own is further her:

I had edited File:Punjabi Language in August 1983 , left a note on its talk page not to revert since 26.08.2013 see [here].all along these pages were on my watch list.My edit was reverted without discussion on talk page by user:Stemoc and it was encouraged by user:Anupam. User Anupam further raised Rfc after his false accusation on user Babanwalia for removal of some source ,proved wrong ,he only reposioned source, look [here]. I have given reply to accusation of Anupam on sockpuppetry page look [here].I have been commenting on page even when before even Rfc was raised by Anupam , then how I could be suspected for having been canvassed to take part in discussion just because I have quoted numerous reliable sources on relevant discussion pages, against an argument of user:Anupam supported with sources by Anupam which are book reference of a single author Tej.K. Bhatia

Punjabi is written primarily in three scripts:Gurmukhi ,Perso Arabic, and Devanagri,Sikhs often write Punjabi in Gurmukhi ,Hindus in Devanagri, and Muslims in Perso-Arabic Shahmukhi

or pages written in other books by same author. It amounts to a single source, whereas it has already been shown with sources in my comments , comment no. 4 look [here] on relevant talk page that, the same Author in his own another book writes contradictory lines to

Punjabi exhibits religion based liguistic differentiations in employment of script and vocabulary.Hindus and Sikhs generalluy use Gurmukhi script, but thes days Hidus have also begun to use the Devnagri script used for Hindi

Now loosing arguments Anupam starts using accusations being himself partial in his views he is placing his comments in CHECk user, administrators space, and thus influencing Rfc.I consider my duty to maintain wikipedia WP:Five Pillars including Neutrality , which are above all policies. Suitable note should be taken by reviewers and such users on opposite side of Rfc should also be cautioned who try to influence their view by such tactics of false accusations.--Guglani (talk) 05:33, 27 November 2014 (UTC)--Guglani (talk) 06:57, 27 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

Please take enormous care about getting the spelling right in article titles. I've moved Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna to Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana because it's the spelling used on its own website. I only discovered it because I searched on PMKVY, found a mention of it, linked, and wondered why the link was still red. Thanks for your contributions to the encyclopedia. A tag has been placed on Suneet Singh Tuli, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
