Untitled[edit]

I heard that most people thought almost all shorts were gone, but they later found a lot of old film reels somewhere, containing many different Alice films... Does anyone know the full story, and possibly add it to the page?

I saw it about fifty years ago... Why when I was a boy...

Walt Disney Treasures[edit]

Compositing[edit]

I believe that I have figured out how they put Alice into the cartoon eviornments, but I am not certain and have no verifyied source, and am unsure if I should post it. The main way was where Alice was filmed on a completely white set. Then the cartoons were filmed, but the part where Alice was supposed to be was blank, and since it was in black-and-white, that place turned out white (the reason for the mostly blank backgrounds). Then they put the film containing Alice on top, and since there was nothing behind her, she seemed to be in the cartoon. Sometimes, however, she had to walk through areas that were NOT all white, and that would mean that when the film of her was put on top, she would seem transparent, so they traced her frame-by-frame and then put that in white on top of the background. Then, when she was put on top, she covered up to white tracing. This can be pretty easily spotted as she didn't cover up the white tracing entirly. The last way is, when all else failed, they would create cartoon images of her, the main reason later cartoons had her in only black and white (no grays(only the backgrounds had greys)).See Ya', tfullwood 14:00, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Alice's Wonderland?[edit]

It seems like this has some allusion to the later title Alice In Wonderland.I was wondering if this was done purposely.--D3t3ctiv3 (talk) 17:24, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Public domain?[edit]
