Featured Picture[edit]

A photo you took, Image:Thurston Lava Tube.jpg, has just become a Featured Picture! Congratulations, and thanks for taking it for us. Raven4x4x 05:50, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

May I add my congratulations, as well! Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 06:44, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've attempted to respond to your oppose vote at [[Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Brigade combat team |this recent FPC]]. I hope the uses I've found for it make it encyclopediacally valuable in your opinion. Staxringold 11:44, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just writing to let you know that I've uploaded a larger version that has the slope corrected. I hope you like it :) enochlau (talk) 13:56, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mikeo!
I've uploaded an edit which partially addresses your issue, maybe you could reconsider your vote? Thanks, --Fir0002 www 08:36, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Closing FPCs[edit]

Thanks for closing the FPC nominations. You certainly deserve this barnstar. Raven4x4x 07:54, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I notice you've been closing some FPC nominations recently. I normally do them myself but I've been too busy with university lately. Anyway, thanks heaps; it may not be an exciting job but it really helps. Raven4x4x 07:54, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Map of India[edit]

Hi! You recently voted for the blank map of India saying that the map needs "to be something special, either by being very descriptive or by being an eye-catching illustration." Would the fact that this is the *only* NPOV map available on the internet also qualify for this special status? Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 13:17, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Featured picture promotion![edit]

Lava tube delisting[edit]

I've put your photo up for delisting under FPC. Defend it if you want, but I suspect it will be delisted for bad image quality --frothT C 19:30, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image wanted[edit]

Hi. I noticed you commented on this engine image. You may like to comment on the planned new image here Cuddlyable3 (talk) 12:06, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for the image[edit]

I've used your orbital debris image (Image:Spacedebris_small.png) in my thesis. Thanks very much for creating that, it was exactly what I needed to illustrate a point about orbital tethers operating in the LEO debris field. DavidMcKenzie (talk) 15:11, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FP Delist notification[edit]

An image you nominated for FP status has recently been nominated for delisting. Feel free to comment. wadester16 03:29, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would you mind...[edit]

... you had some input on the space debris article which I've recently re-written. Would you mind giving it a once-over? Maury Markowitz (talk) 21:18, 22 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request[edit]

Hello Mikeo, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert anything else (by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning, depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 00:58, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mikeo[edit]

Hi, Mikeo. I want to ask for your help. User 201.0.202.118 is a radical communist, and in addition to vandalize Portuguese Wikipedia, he wants to vandalize the English too, in order to justify their vandalism (bringing texts from English into Portuguese). I wonder if he can be banned from English Wikipedia. Brazilian administrators don't do nothing. He is putting partial texts pro-left everywhere. Sorry for bad english. Please help. 189.4.240.56 (talk) 21:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Women's rugby union[edit]

Thank you for keeping an eye on the Women's Rugby Union page. It was I who was updating the page (which I created) with some new information that has just emerged, along with correct references, though I now realise that I wasn't logged in when I did it. Please could you change the page back to the new version highlighting the contribution of Miss E F Valentine? It is a remarkable story but I will happily direct you to the school's current assistant Headteacher if you doubt it. Johnlbirch (talk) 22:38, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mikeo[edit]

Regarding the Assassin's Creed 2 music score, the sequence that Justin worked on never made it into Assassin's Creed 2 so please remove this part from the Assassin's 2 Creed 2 page. You can verify this by sending an email to Jesper Kyd at kyd@jesperkyd.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wildvset (talkcontribs) 07:22, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mikeo[edit]

Would you consider protecting the article Lula, o filho do Brasil ? It seems to be under attack by Brazilian editors, IP's of different political views.

189.102.170.111 (talk) 18:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please, protect the page. Hurry. Will be vandalized by October, Brazil's election date... Lula supporters wants to make positive advertisement desperately. This IP 201.0.202.118 who is vandalizing the page, was banned 3 months in Brazil by multiple registrations and vandalism. He must be banned here too.189.4.240.56 (talk) 22:59, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats![edit]

You must be doing something right. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:30, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Outnumbered[edit]

Hi there

It's not a problem, but you recently reverted my edit to the Outnumbered article and I was just wondering why? You said that you had done it because "it introduced negative or controversial biographical material without providing a reliable source for this information. Wikipedia requires that all such material be sourced to address the issue of libel", but I actually fail to see how this applies. Before I edited it, the article talked about an unseen character for Series 2 called Tyson. Karen's maths teacher, Miss Braebrook, is also an unseen character in Series 2 so I just thought it would be useful to add that on. I don't think there are any sources for Miss Braebrook (obviously because she's an unseen character no actors were cast) but there are also no sources for Tyson or Veronica and they are still mentioned. I also thought maybe it was reverted because I said that the character has unusual views about hell and the Devil, which fair enough, you can't really judge that on Wikipedia, but the whole context of her being mentioned in the sitcom is BECAUSE her views are odd, and the little girl is listening to them, so I think in this case it would be fair to say that. If you could explain why this is a problem that would be great.

Thanks X George.millman (talk) 00:24, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About that one IP editor[edit]

I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. I've been keeping track of his edits, and one of them was reverted as vandalism after his last warning. That, combined with the threat to hound you, formed the basis of my report against him. Hopefully he won't be a problem much longer. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:30, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Shoah film page[edit]

That was me who was making those edits this morning, I didn't realize I wasn't signed in. Nice job on the fast reverts though, sorry it looked like vandalism, will leave edit summaries in the future. flessner89 (talk) 17:23, 30 Mar 2010 UTC

Did you welcome a user with "2600" at the end of their name?[edit]

Did you welcome a user with "2600" at the end of their name? If so, you might want to file an SPI case on him and compare him to Grundle2600 who was banned as a result of a ANI thread that is still underway. The Syntax (talk) 20:59, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Covert US regime change[edit]

I have explained the reasons for my edits on the talk page. They are all valid until someone disputes my claim to their validity. Unreliable sources and sources which do not support the given assertions should go.70.131.118.198 (talk) 19:29, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Db-author[edit]

In cases such as this, where the primary author blanks the page, the best follow-up is to check the article history, which suggests that a db-author template is the best way to go. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 17:16, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings[edit]

Hi. I have no clue what i'm doing, but as I was reading something on wiki- I saw at the top of the page that I have "new messages". I received your message, but it is to the wrong person. I am pretty inept when it comes to editing, and because of this I currently have made zero edits to any wiki.

"The recent edit that you made to the page Zambia at the 1988 Summer Olympics has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive...(snip) Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Zambia at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted."

I am looking at the past edits out of curiousity and do not even see vandalism, but i'm probably not looking in the right place. Help me understand what's up if you can? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.56.118.64 (talk) 02:24, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A page you previously contributed to, Joe Williams (jazz singer), had many prior revisions deleted due to copyright issues. For details please see Talk:Joe Williams (jazz singer). Your prior version may be temporarily restored upon request if you need it for reference to re-incorporate constructive edits that do not make use of the copyright infringing material. Please feel free to leave me a talk message if you need this done. Happy editing, — xaosflux Talk 22:29, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
