It's alleged that a private residence (grand name for a house, I suppose) of this name stands near Rice University in Texas. The name sounds curiously unTexan so I googled for it. Nothing. I suspect that this is a hoax or private joke, but if I'm wrong and such a building really exists then it is insufficiently notable. -- Hoary 04:45, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Delete ... ? I've asked two students at Rice - neither has heard of it. Likely a hoax. Note that the IP address of the author is from Houston, so this may bear further investigation. Aerion//talk 05:14, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Substub of little worth and probably a hoax. Geogre 16:35, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. How can it be royal in a country without a monarchy? Anyway, delete it unless it can be verified. [[User:David Johnson|David Johnson [T|C]]] 17:56, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment. As a native Houstonian, I can tell you that the name may sound "curiously unTexan," but then that whole part of Houston around Rice is very hoity-toity, so for that area the name's not unusual at all. There are quite a lot of very old manorhouses around that area so there could well be some old residence with that name, hard to say. I can tell you that there is an Earlswood Dr. in Houston, as well as a subdivision nearby named Royal Oaks. It could well exist, but hard to say if it's notable or not without more info. • Delete, sounds to me like someone's preparing to sell a house. Wyss 12:17, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)
