Ilford/Ilford confusion?[edit]

Are we sure she won a photographic prize in Ilford the town, rather than the prize being something to do with Ilford the photographic company? Seems odd, otherwise. 86.29.118.179 (talk) 16:57, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I just came here to ask the same thing! DuncanHill (talk) 02:25, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the Ilford claim in the text; its not mentioned in the source. Klbrain (talk) 21:36, 9 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Half-sister?[edit]

Just one comment. It's on the article's statement that Heather McCartney "has a much younger half-sister, Beatrice Milly McCartney, born to Paul and Heather Mills on October 28, 2003."

Beatrice is arguably not her half-sister. Not if Mary and Stella are her half-sisters and James her half-brother. The term "half-sister" infers a biological connection on Heather's part to one or other (but not both) of the biological parents of Beatrice. Since neither Paul McCartney nor Heather Mills is a biological parent of Heather McCartney, technically speaking Beatrice is no biological relation of Heather McCartney at all, and so "half-sister" seems inappropriate.

Furthermore, for Beatrice to be her half-sister would imply Heather McCartney was a full sister to Mary, Stella, and James, which notwithstanding her adoption by Paul McCartney has a bizarre feel to it.

I would suggest using some different term to describe the connection between Heather McCartney and Beatrice McCartney. "Adoptive sister" maybe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.78.64.101 (talk) 01:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New issue. Who is Heather's birth father? On her page father's name is given as "Joseph Melville See." On Linda Eastman's page Heather's father's name is, correctly?, "John Melvin (or Melvyn?) See." Some quick research and factual fix needed; in any event, father is still red-line. genehisthome —Preceding unsigned comment added by Genehisthome (talkcontribs) 10:48, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ANITA WILLIAMS RESPONDS: Heather McCartney, by virtue of her adoption by Paul McCartney is indeed the full sister to James, Mary, and Stella, and half-sister to Beatrice. Once she was adopted by Paul, he became her father, period--no gray areas. The biology may be different, but legally and from the heart, this is the way it is.

Notability[edit]

How is this person notable? If she is not notable, why does she have her own article? TheScotch (talk) 08:40, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you had read it, you would have seen, "McCartney remains a prominent potter and designer, with exhibitions in New York City, Phoenix, Tokyo, Paris, and Sydney, and has been described by Wedgewood as "one of Britain's most exciting new talents."[3]"--andreasegde (talk) 12:11, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dating claim[edit]

The last sentence reads "She has been dating a 45 year old former promoter and Dj in Tucson, Arizona DJ B-rad since June 2016." There is no source for this claim, nor does "B-rad" seem to be notable, nor is whoever a barely notable subject (McCartney) happens to have been dating for the past few days, even remotely notable. I've removed it. Bricology (talk) 18:12, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
