Merger with RTÉ News: Six One[edit]

Okay, I thought it was suggested to merge - not take over - the page. The entire contents of RTÉ News: Six One were deleted without even thinking over what information could be kept, which is a lot. The new page focused on one single incident from the show's past, without even explaining what its format is, or even what time it is broadcast and on what channel. (Six-One is familar to us in Ireland, what about outside Ireland it might not be so obviously 18:01.)

Anyways, I've taken remiedial action and properly merged the two articles. And I propose a move back to RTÉ News: Six One. All you have to do is check the RTÉ TV listings, that is what is it is listed as (see [1]).

Timing[edit]

Is it always at 18:01 BST? That seems very strange; why would BST be used in the winter? 81.158.206.166 5 July 2005 03:34 (UTC)

Indeed, I've correct this to read GMT/BST. There are two nights of the year it starts at 18:00 sharp, Good Friday and the Saturday after, because no Angelus bells are rung on those days. --213.94.253.175 23:38, 11 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

At some stage the show began at 6:15pm. 6:01 to 6:15 was filled with cartoons, usually Popeye. — 60.241.168.3 15 November 2007 11:54 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Pvr001.jpg[edit]

Image:Pvr001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

18.01[edit]

Some editor(s) seem to think the programme called RTÉ News: Six One means that it begins at 1800hrs, despite the Angelus beginning around six. Perhaps we can block those that persist with this? howth575 (talk) 16:10, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
