The most recent edit has actually removed the definition of tomogram.

I couldn't resist changing this radically. The definition of tomography that was offered invalidates the original usage of tomography, which I admit is almost historical, but we cannot just ignore it. Etymologically, too, tomography means section (i.e. 2D) imaging and not volume reconstruction. I removed the bit about the night sky, because the analogy was completely creaking at the seams. Charles: the tomography entry is a disambiguation page. Maybe the text from tomogram should be moved to the top of it? Or maybe we should create a "Conventional X-ray tomography" entry and split this one up? I don't know. Soundray 16:39, 27 Feb 2004 (UTC) Oops, sorry, I got you now. The term is now back in. I made the disambiguation page earlier today - only because tomography was then a redirect to one kind of scan. Perhaps there should now be a merge; I really don't know enough about the area.
