Did you see this proposal? Scouting Barnstarn --evrik 19:56, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ray_hanson.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ray_hanson.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 02:59, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

AIV vs VIP

Hi Seinfreak37/Archive1. I noticed you added an entry to Vandalism in Progress. That page is only for very specific cases, as described by the page's guidelines. Your alert would be better placed on Administrator intervention against vandalism (WP:AIV), where it will usually be processed within minutes. Many alerts that are incorrectly placed on Vandalism in Progress are never dealt with, simply because they become old before an administrator gets to them. Thanks for your efforts. :) --lightdarkness (talk) 01:04, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

EW article sited on JLU

While your information is from a reliable source (something I applaud because it so rarely happens on the DCAU pages), I believe that the Identity Crisis animated version was mostly speculation by EW. That came out before the Comic-con announcements that Bruce Timm would be heading up direct animated versions of comics outside the DCAU. Would you mind if I placed a sentence explaining that after your information in the cancellation section? Thanks!--Gillespee 20:49, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

  • By all means, edit away! I did mention that it was speculated by EW (at least I thought so), but if you feel the need to make that clearer, go wild! -Seinfreak37 19:59, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm not vandalizing... I'm trying to report on this, but it's hard since so many people are doing it.

Permission

since youve left me a message about my editing. Im going to assume you have the authority to authorize adding new sections to existing articles.

I want to expand on the Bill Handel article, in particular adding nicknames used for various politicians and other public officials on his morning show.

ex. "Skeletor" for Michael Chertoff

let me know

Other sources

John and Ken from the John and Kenshow also refer to him as such. I dont know how I get official transcripts to prove it, however, if you have a KFI "press pass" on the site you can listen to audio demand i will gladly point to the exact date and which hour to listen to, so you can confirm my observation.

Just for the record: on the skeletor article I mentioned his nickname under Popular culture for a reason; they use it on two radio shows, one of which just took the spot of most popular radio show in los angeles-- an amazing feat considering the show is in English. Thus there was legitmacy to what I posted (Ive only done one clear-cut vandalism... girl authority)

Image:Indiana Jones and the Cross of Coronado.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Indiana Jones and the Cross of Coronado.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Can't Undo 18:32, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I reverted Can't Undo because I feel that the user is a sock for someone with an axe to grind. They have limited editing and seemed to have targeted this image. --evrik (talk) 19:29, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism of Anna Nicole Smith page

You sent me a message accusing me of vandlizing the Anna Nicole Smith page. I did no such thing. Someone had written "She's dead." more than 20 times consecutively, and I removed that paragraph. RBI Baseball 22:24, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I must agree with RBI Baseball. He REMOVED vandalism, he did not create it. Please be more careful when warning people for vandalism.Vandymorgan 02:38, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Please Listen

I am not trying to create any duplicates of any pages neither i want to add the title (The Batman episode) to the existing articles, i am correctings the ones that you thought tha i had deleted and this time i rename removing the ending episode from the parenthesis. In case i created any duplicates i have recuasted in their talk page to be deleted, i am also correcting some links that direct the pages to the old title. Please respond as soon as possible and inform before you make any new changes to the pages i am working on. I don't have any intention to vandalism these pages and i am working to correct mistakes, inform them and make them better. Please respond as soon as possible and inform before you make any new changes to the pages i am working on. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MasterDeva (talkcontribs) 19:55, 18 February 2007 (UTC).

  • I recommend that before moving or renaming articles, you post a request on the article's talk page. A lot of your recent edits have had to have been reverted by others, and despite your wanting to help, you are causing a lot of other users time. Recently I have redirected newly created articles that you made to their proper location, only to have you change the articles again. This is coupled with what seems to be a limited grasp of the English language (sorry if I am incorrect or cause bad feelings, but your message above is difficult to understand). -Seinfreak37 20:03, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you User:Seinfreak37 for your quick respond and i apologize for my previous message (i was kind of in a hurry). Could you send a list with the articles that you have redirect and your comments about them ? I could use the history log of the files but i want your personal opinion, thanks again for your quick respond. MasterDeva 21:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

So then what is the point of a talk page? Other than to show past mistakes and deletion attempts, which are inarguably not encyclopedic?

Hardcore ska article - was it already deleted once?

I noticed that on the talk page of the creator of the Hardcore ska article, you wrote that there was a speedy delete tag on the article. I saw that comment after I put a normal delete tag on that article, and I see no Speedy Delete tag in the edit history. Perhaps the article was already deleted once and then re-created. If you have evidence of that, then maybe you'll want to put another speedy delete tag on in instead of waiting for someone to delete the article after the normal five day period. FAVACA site

Hi. This is the first time I add an article so I am not sure how this works. But the article for FAVACA has apparently been tagged. I tried to follow the instructions and left a note on the talk page, but when I returned to view it there was no more article. The reason it should be left on is because it is mentioned as one of 17 organizations on the article for Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance; some of which have their pwn article. The reader should be allowed to learn more about the organizations mentioned.Favaca 19:52, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

I had concerns about the notability of the subject, as there was a lack of sources. I'll tag the article as needing further sources in the interim so that those with the knowledge can improve the article. Cheers. Seinfreak37 19:36, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello Seinfreak37, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:WesternIllinoisBulldogs2.gif) was found at the following location: User:Seinfreak37. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-free use disputed for Image:Cell_by_Stephen_King.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Cell_by_Stephen_King.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 23:23, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:OldChristine.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:OldChristine.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:31, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Cinq-O

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cinq-O, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. B. Fair use rationale for Image:Lee Arenberg.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Lee Arenberg.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
