Hitler picture[edit]

Yes I can read in German and get by in it so I can understand the point the article is making. I was wondering why this sources is relaible? Its funny, as Joachim Fest was my source and reason for changing it. But if you're sure, then its okay by me. Dapi89 (talk) 10:36, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Obviously I am relying on these sources so I can't be quite sure either. However in the article they mention that their evidence was a Wochenschau from 22 March and that based on this evidence, Joachim Fest changed the date in the most recent version of his Hitler biography. Obviously this is not a conclusive proof, but it seems to me that unless they are lying about the Wochenschau (which I find unlikely), to me it is more plausible that the picture was in fact originally misdated, and that 20 March is the correct date. --Yogi de (talk) 00:58, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to ARS![edit]

Hi, Yogi de, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! Ikip (talk) 16:25, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Coincidence?[edit]

Spotted you on the Baldwin Street, Dunedin Talk page. Yes the wheelie bin death was real. I led prayers at Mass at Dunedin's Holy Name Catholic Church a year later, and Ana's anniversary was on the list of prayers. I'm intrigued to find a German named Yogi de commenting on an incident in North East Valley, as I live there, and we had a German exchange student staying with us in 1999. His name was Joachim, but he called himself Yogi, and one of the first things he did after his arrival was walk up Baldwin St... Koro Neil (talk) 15:30, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm afraid I'm not Joachim - and I only first visited Dunedin in 2004. If you would like to reconnect with Joachim, Facebook or studivz (a German clone of Facebook targeted specifically at the German market) may be your best bet. Good luck! Yogi de (talk) 14:39, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
