This was Diocletian's THIRD consulate. I can't see any interest in mentioning the consulates of Roman Emperors, since they were usually appointed on their accession, and then repeatedly throughout their reign. Shall we mention 18 times that Theodosius was Consul that year? (17 times for Domitian, 13 times for Honorius, etc., etc.)
