I am just curious why you relink Strib back to Minneapolis StarTribune when the only article that links to that word is a Danish Bridge which has nothing to do with the newspaperSmith03 16:40, 1 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

The page was blank, and it appears to be a valid name for the newspaper. I've made it into a separate page that mentions the town in Denmark. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Wmahan . 17:12, 2004 May 1 (UTC)

Wil, Hah, now I've got you over a barrel. What to demand for not turning you in....? I've got it! A look over some of the general crypto articles for obscurities and fog and general clunk, noting same on the Talk page. I'll let you off easy, no editing...

Seriously, I'll take whatever I can get as a new eye. However I can get 'em. Including blackmail. There's an annotated list of articles at Topics in cryptography. It's too easy to write crypto stuff that's too technical, too in crowd, too obscure. Don't bother with the necessarily technical articles (with math, diagrams, computer code, ...). Nobody expects the average user to even read them, much less understand them...

Saddam > Saddam Hussein[edit]

There is an article war going on at Saddam Hussein. The anon user who provided you with information on the article talk page has been repeatedly reverting edits that change his/her edits of Saddam > Saddam Hussein back to Saddam. They have set up at least two possibly more user accounts.

I agree with your assertions that Saddam Hussein is the best designation and have been disappointed that there has not seemed to be much of a response to your queries. I think that a final decision needs to be made on which name the article is going to use.

History of Japan[edit]

You wrote "The Japanese sought awful destruction. They raped, pillaged, and killed." and this is simply not a way to write an article. If you check WW2 part of History of Germany or History of the Soviet Union, nowhere is similar claim presented even though they had both tried to exterminate each other through a massive genocide. Upon entering Berlin, Stalin personally gave order to "rape and kill every German they can find" to the Red Army and this kind of evidence is essential to making such a blantant claim. Well, I have to confess that I'm not dedicated enough to do it by hand, either. :) I wrote a script that fills in the edit summary automatically as I make spelling corrections. I figure it would allow people to spot mistaken corrections (which has happened once in the several thousand articles I fixed).
