SJT article[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you said you have the SJT article. By chance do you have it in electronic form? If so, could you send it to me? No problem if it's not possible. --Akhilleus (talk) 20:11, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. What's your address?Barrett Pashak (talk) 20:14, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! --Akhilleus (talk) 20:15, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I have it. I'll try to read through it and comment later today, but my initial impression is that it doesn't say what Van Voorst said it does. --Akhilleus (talk) 20:27, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Yeah, I think this is just a bogus meme.Barrett Pashak (talk) 20:29, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Could I also get a copy? pastor@fbcgh.net Eugene (talk) 04:50, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Schema.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Brunner image[edit]

hi Barrett, What's screwy about the new image? It renders nicely for me, with much higher resolution?

cheers, t

Constantin_Brunner

Hi, Tim:

I like the resolution, but look at how some letters overlap, and how the dotted semi-circles are now full circles.

SVG is a bad final source... I can put up a png with nicer typographical layout, and leave the svg as an opensource-editable base. Were the semi-circles part of Brunner's model? I just made them circles for convenience. Also the overlapping letters is because wikipedia must scale then render, rather than render then scale: The full size one does not have that issue.
This is my representation of Brunner's model, so, yes, I'd like to keep the semi-circles. Let's see what the png looks like.

File:Constantin Brunner-1.jpg needs authorship information[edit]

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Constantin Brunner-1.jpg appears to be missing information as to one (or more) of the following :

  1. The author or creators of the work, (including information as to the author's lifespan).
  2. Where and how this particular version was obtained.
  3. When the work was created,

If you did provide such information, it is currently confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Barrett Pashak}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.

Please also add authorship and sourcing to other files you created or uplopaded. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 13:26, 9 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
