Jason Carr?[edit]

I was just wondering whether anyone thinks its time the British (or perhaps you'd rather say English, since he's from Yorkshire) theatre composer (well composer/lyricist - he does both) Jason Carr should be considered for inclusion? I think he is mentioned in a few places in Wikipedia, such as

The Chichester Festival Theatre- because he has written three musicals that have played there. (well if he isn't mentioned on that page his musicals and various plays he wrote incidental music for are)
Lee Miller - because he wrote a musical about her
Sunday in the Park with George - because he worked on the recent revival as an orchestrator.
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama - because that's where he trained.

What does anyone else think? Skekayuk 21:21, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cataory?[edit]

Hm. There's a Category:British composers, too, as I just noticed -- should these be merged? Which should be kept? Mindspillage | spill your mind? 08:22, 31 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Clementi?[edit]

If Handel finds a place here, should not Clementi? Though he was born in Rome (of Swiss parents) he was a naturalised Englishman, and spent his entre life in England (save for continental tours) from the age of seven. He was even an Anglican!

Edward Purcell[edit]

A Wikipedia search for Edward Purcell, son of the more famous Henry Purcell quickly takes the searcher direct to Edward Mills Purcell, a US scientist. There is a page called Edward Purcell, but it is just an automated redirect page to Edward Mills Purcell.

Is there any way to offer the searcher using the Wikipedia search engine, the means to be alerted to the existence of the page for Edward Purcell (musician)?
