JIS power outputs[edit]

Why did you revert the power outputs in the Toyota/Lexus articles? The correct way to indicate DIN, JIS or SAE power is always to put the acronym after the HP value, and JIS hp is equivalent to german PS, so 1 kW = 1.36 hp, not 1.34 hp. This is for bhp/SAE hp (using Imperial/US measurements. Not only that, you got the Toyota Altezza power wrong on both kW/hp. The value you gave for the AS200 is for the European market Lexus IS 200, and the RS200 is not available outside Japan. --Pc13 10:59, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

There isn't anything in the conventions that specifies PS should be turned to hp net (in fact, I just raised the point in [1]). If you've seen a few additions of yours changed into hp net, it's because you were working on a model that's available in North America and whoever did the changes turned them into what he'd be more familair with. For European models, americans don't usually touch them, unless they're available in NA. On a few occasions, I've seen the article had the correct PS value (Saab, VW and Audi don't convert PS to hp in their american brochures), but a wrong hp to kW conversion. Wikiproject Automobiles Notification[edit]

Hi Senna6094, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.

To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Senna6094]] to your userpage.
