Symptoms section is incomplete: missing infection of rectum, eyes, and throat[edit]

There are many sources for this info (including my own experience - NOT cool!). But here's what the mayo clinic website describes: (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gonorrhea/DS00180/DSECTION=symptoms)

"Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea that affects the rectum include:

   * Anal itching
   * Pus-like cutty booty from the rectum
   * Spots of bright red blood on toilet tissue
   * Straining to have a bowel movement

Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea that affects the eye include:

   * Eye pain
   * Pus-like discharge from the eye
   * Sensitivity to light

Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea that affects the throat include:

   * Sore throat
   * Swollen lymph nodes in the neck"

Prevention[edit]

More accurately reflects the source than "through the education of "at risk" persons, aimed at changing high risk sexual behaviour patterns"

The source explicitly says that the best approach is education of at risk individuals through non-judgemental education (which is exactly what I wrote in my edit)... Stange how you picked up on the moralistic abstentionist and monogamous approach taken by religion rather that very overtly made point. Stange too that you flatly rejected in the same way my edit further down, when I removed an irrelevant biblical reference and included the secular Common Era dating method along with a relevant scientific/historically dated fact. This is semantically incorrect and clearly supports a bias. One cannot prevent infection by having sex (with anyone). Furthermore this information is highly redundant. Abstinence too, does not belong. This violates the rule of anti-information. (e.g, One can avoid malpractice lawsuits by not providing medical care.) Can the text changed to be trans inclusive (e.g. list symptoms for those with penises instead of men, etc)[edit]

This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request.

Follow "having sex with only one person who is uninfected" with ", having sex with multiple people who are uninfected", or replace it with "having sex only with uninfected people". The current phrasing is inaccurate in that it omits sex with multiple uninfected partners as a preventive measure. It has rather obviously been included as as a political claim in favour of monogamy and against promiscuity than as a factual assertion about preventive measures. Prognosis section[edit]
