Removing update info about Sweeney[edit]

I reluctantly deleted he reference to Sweeney's new name and his current location and probable occupation. Although he is a convicted murderer, in the eyes of the law he has served his time. Unless he has been declared a public risk or a dangerous offender, by specifying his current name and location (how many executive chefs might there be with his new name?) could, in theory, open Wikipedia up for legal problems, unless the police have made this information publicly known by way of an advisory (as they tend to do with released sex offenders). In addition, he was convicted of manslaughter, not one of the higher counts of murder. The decision to include this information could also be interpreted as POV. 23skidoo 04:23, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

While I support freedom of speech, I agree with the removal (I originally inlcuded it in the article). The name change is speculation, not proven, and could effect an innocent man by that name. While he was convicted of manslaughter, he did murder her, whatever you care to call it (he was in a fit of rage, but still...). Frecklefoot | Talk 15:02, May 12, 2005 (UTC)
Fortunately the information has returned. Let him spend the rest of his days scorned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.143.1.74 (talk) 04:16, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If he was legally convicted of manslaughter, how correct is it to have the section entitled "Murder"? Isn't that factually incorrect, if not libellous?

Picture[edit]

While I'm elated to see someone went to the trouble of including an image of Dunne, I'm underwhelmed by the image quality. The image is squished horizontally, so much so Dunne looks like an overweight mutant. Can someone try and fix it? — Frecklefoot | Talk 20:33, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reference in Southland TV show[edit]

+++

I note that the episode 'u-boat' of the show Southland has an officer getting involved with a woman who has been abused by and later murdered by her chef boyfriend (by strangulation). Is this relevant? 86.164.160.120 (talk) 13:07, 31 October 2010 (UTC) Wals[reply]

Should this be removed it it's not sourced?[edit]

The relationship quickly deteriorated because of Sweeney's possessiveness and jealousy. 98.118.62.140 (talk) 00:13, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is stated in the source, no reason to remove it Hy Brasil (talk) 17:33, 6 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
