Grid cells[edit]

Hi. The information you added belongs in the article, but I think it probably doesn't belong in the lead, because the mechanism you proposed pretty clearly doesn't apply, given that there is no local topography in the anatomical arrangement of grid cells. Would you be offended if I move it down into the Background section? Regards, Looie496 (talk) 16:12, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse[edit]

Sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry earlier and rolled back the state of the page through 3 revisions with only a brief edit summary.

The vandalism is the editor who is repeatedly replacing the introductory part of the article with nonsense about chickens.

Your additions needed to be reverted as well because they were unsourced or original research. I think you've said that you yourself were the source, but that's nearly the definition of original research. From your user page, you appear to be well qualified to write as an expert on various subjects, but that's not how WP is supposed to work. You've also been on WP for a very long time, so I am surprised that you were not aware of the policies on original research. There's an essay Expert editors that you may need to familiarize yourself with. My revert of your additions is in no way a dispute about your expertise or your value to WP. It was just an effort to uphold one of the most important principles of WP, that we report what has been published in reliable sources about a subject, that an interested reader should be able to go to those reference for verification and to investigate deeper into the subject. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 04:18, 25 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Extreme Weather and What to Do About It requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  GILO   A&E  19:30, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of CO2 Foundation[edit]

Hello Wcalvin, your article CO2 Foundation doesn't make any claim of notability or significance so I've tagged the article for speedy deletion. The foundations goals are admirable of course, but most foundations are not notable enough for a standalone article (see WP:NCORP and WP:GNG).

If you are related to this company, you may want to read our guidelines for editors with a conflict of interest, it's best to submit such articles through the articles for creation process to get a second opinion of a reviewer regarding neutrality and notability.

When there is more coverage by secondary sources about the foundation or its publications it could (as a start) be added as a section on the article William H. Calvin.
