Hello World! and Beth!

Three Equal[edit]

Two Equal[edit]

One Equal[edit]

This is my first attempt at wiki, so i will use this space to learn the mark up.

The nom de plume i use, Uriel Apeiron comes from important events in my life, i chose them for myself to reflect some aspect of my identity.

Uriel does not have an entry... looks like i found my first project.

i found Apeiron in a philosophy dictionary (find link to book), it means without limit and the fundamental material of reality. Reflecting my belief that things can always get better, that the building blocks of a perfect world and a perfect me, already exist. They need only to be given shape.

Welcome[edit]

Welcome, Uriel, to Wikipedia. -- Looks to me like you've found Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers and Wikipedia:How to edit a page, but if you haven't, they're good resources. I suggest doing your mark-up learning in a sub page -- User:Uriel_Apeiron/temp or User:Uriel_Apeiron/sandbox -- but you can of course do that here if you like. Talk pages are usually left for comments from others, though....whatever you like! If you have questions, post them at the Village pump or leave me a note on my talk page. Have fun here, and happy editing! Jwrosenzweig 17:52, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC) P.S. I think taking on Uriel is an excellent idea!

Thanks[edit]

Thank you for the suggestions. Once i start a sandbox/temp space, how do i find it again? Do i have to make my own link?

Uriel will be a fun project to start, i just hope it will be a worthy addition.

Most people keep a list of their temp or sandbox spaces by listing them somewhere on their user page or user talk page (User:Uriel_Apeiron or User talk:Uriel_Apeiron, in your case). Or you can just try out ideas in Wikipedia:Sandbox, but those things disappear pretty frequently, so if you want to save tests to go back to them, making your own temp space is best. Making a link is as simple as typing the words within double brackets. A common new user mistake is to forget the User: prefix (new users make a link like Uriel_Apeiron/temp which puts your temp page in article space instead of user space), so always double check. :) And if you're worried about making a worthy addition....don't. :) Whatever you post will be fiddled with and fixed by others. If you like, drop me a note at my talk page (User talk:Jwrosenzweig) when you've posted an article like Uriel and I'd be happy to give it a look and fix little formatting errors (or tell you so you can get the experience fixing them). :) I hope I'm not being too overbearing -- just trying to be helpful. I think you'll be a very good addition here. Have fun! Jwrosenzweig 00:24, 7 Feb 2004 (UTC) (P.S., sign comments with ~~~~ and your username and date will appear just like in my posting here)
