Movie score question[edit]

My memory banks tell me that Enya's song, The memory of Trees was used as a score in a movie. Could someone help me and let me know if indeed this was the case?

Thank you. Drjny (talk) 00:09, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 Fixed. According to IMDb, it was used in Shot Through the Heart (1998). I updated the article to reflect this. Were you thinking of a different film? Ringbang (talk) 16:04, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

'The Celts' documentary question[edit]

… "Pax Deorum" was used in the score of the American documentary film For the Bible Tells Me So (2007) and also as an unreleased track on the 1986 BBC documentary 'The Celts'.

Could the song really be used in year 1986 if the album was published 1995? Cigydd (talk) 22:22, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is the title track really an instrumental?[edit]

The article lists the title track "The Memory of Trees" as an instrumental piece. When I listen to the title track, it doesn't sound like an instrumental. There is clearly singing. Some voices are being used as instruments, but Enya clearly sings out the word "wheelchair!" periodically in the chorus of the song, most obviously in the last dying note of the song. It sounds like a lyric to me, puzzling and incongruous as it may be — unless she's singing a foreign word that happens to sound like the English word "wheelchair". ~Amatulić (talk) 06:22, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rating[edit]

Hi, i rated the album a B, and I really think it deserve it. Only thing i can say to improve it, more external links, more cats, (categories not felines) and those are just nitpicking, the one thing that lacks from a FA point of view is a sound sample.

@Zidane tribal: Many thanks for the rating and suggestions! Hopefully we can get it to GA soon! LowSelfEstidle (talk) 19:08, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Japan Music Chart - Billboard Japan mistaken as Oricon Japanese Music Chart[edit]

@ResolutionsPerMinute:
@Ss112:

Regarding [in the current wiki page about Billboard Hits of the World about Japan], Enya album The Memory of Trees at 10th place, per Dempo Publication Inc. (電波) (had read Kanji as Traditional Chinese even though there's some False friends)

(Setting aside wikipedia eg ja:日本の音楽チャート)...Seemed like the Japanese Chart from Billboard is actually Billboard Japan Chart (actually Billboard Japan managed by past <<Dempo News Agency>> (電波新聞社) now replaced by <<Hanshin (阪神) Content Link>>)

Per [株式会社電波新聞社] --- 昭和52年7月 米国ビルボード社と提携。ミュージックラボ(関連会社)に資本参加 (US ビルボード participate with Dempo's ミュージックラボ) (Showa Era 52 == 1977 like other East Asia except communist china)

Strangely Dempo website mentioned it's former Billboard affiliate in Japanese language only despite having English version too.

So that means its just another Japanese Music Chart...another one would be Oricon..so:

Can I change and add it accordingly? Thanks. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 15:24, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

my bad forget - Sound Loaded Dempa Publication should be changed to Billboard Japan too. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 15:27, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you should change the link to Billboard Japan, because the Japanese chart used in Billboard and the Oricon chart are not the same thing. If you add Oricon's ranking, be sure to clarify that one chart is based on Billboard while the other is based on Oricon. Better yet, apply Template:Album chart where possible. I don't think there's one for Billboard Japan, so you'll have to keep the manual citation and retarget the link. ResPM (T🔈🎵C) 16:04, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
