Changes[edit]

I've made a few changes.

  1. Style - The table looked extremely antiquated.
  2. Size - The table was massive, for no good reason.
  3. Removed "information bar" - It's self evident that it's information. I've kept the history bar.
  4. Moved badge and motto parameters together - Motto previously in history.
  5. Changed "Date founded" to founded - As per other infoboxes.
  6. Removed RAF ensign - It's clear these are RAF articles. I would argue it is simply a resource drain to include this.
  7. I've made Image and Honours parameters "if" values, i.e. do not appear if not filled in. - All other data is easily available and important. However not all squadron articles have squadron badge and battle honours. Mark83 19:48, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unifying the templates[edit]

Unless someone objects, I will do an AWB-assisted migration of all pages using this template to use {{Infobox military unit}} instead. It's a more robust template with essentially the same look and it will help to reduce the number of near-identical templates floating around Wikipedia. I will go ahead with the migration after Thursday September 21. - Emt147 Burninate! 05:20, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't object, looks good. Mark83 10:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
