How does anyone know?

This is a list of operas in the international standard repertory. It represents the 80 most performed operas in the world's major opera houses from 1883 to 1996.

"Just addition"? If this is to be the article on the standard repertoire, which opera houses does it represent? The source for the addition would be essential in such a highly specific (and excellent!) list. The list has been compiled by Opera World perhaps. Or Grove? --Wetman 18:33, 20 May 2005 (UTC)

Why was this page re-directed?

This page was moved or renamed or redirected (I don't understand the differences) while I was editing it. I lost all my edits. I don't understand why it was renamed. --DrG 13:56, 2005 May 20 (UTC)

I moved it from "List of Operas in the Standard Repertoire" because there was no need for capitalization; I didn't know that you were editing it at the time. -- Hoary 03:19, 2005 May 21 (UTC)
