Aus sport club template

Hi Tim,

Just wanted to explain my revert of your amendment to the Template:Infobox aus sport club template.

Although Collingwood's motto is famous, not all clubs have mottos and this will create problems with other sporting clubs which do not feature them. I suggest you work the Collingwood motto into the article, which shouldn't be difficult, rather than amending the infobox template and creating problems for all other articles using the template.

well, it's been deleted twice now. It has no independent sources to ensure that it meets the notability guidelines, and is written like an advert the availability and excellence of Arena has undoubtedly contributed and almost flawlessly . @Significa liberdade in the area of open source licences this licence is becoming quickly more prominent. for example the Linux foundation published an article today where the first sentence refers to this

I do not know how notability is established. it sounds very subjective. I am happy to make editorial contributions to Wikipedia but I don't have time for what seems to me to be time wasting. Take it or not. but right now no one discussing this licence can link to a Wikipedia article. I don't understand how that is a good outcome. Tim Richardson (talk) 20:16, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi, Timrichardson! Thank you for voicing your concerns. On Wikipedia, notability has a specific definition. Generally speaking, a topic is presumed to be notable if "it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". You can learn more about establishing notable using the following link: WP:NOTABILITY.

The most important task for your article is adding secondary sources that discuss the Business Source License in detail.
