Cotton Mills Article[edit]

Do you feel up to doing a Cottons mills in New England article, I hope eventually to do a series:Cottons mills in Lancashire, Cottons mills in Derbyshire. In these the focus will be slightly different- and while I can cut and paste some text from Cotton Mill I can deal with individual specific mills. But for the moment, I have a busy nonwiki weekend ahead of me. --ClemRutter (talk) 09:22, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your application to use VandalSniper[edit]

Thank you for applying to use the counter-vandalism tool VandalSniper. I am pleased to inform you that you are now approved to use the tool. To download the program, see here; please also read the features guide if you have not already done so. VandalSniper is a powerful program, so remember that misuse may result in your access being withdrawn and that disruptive editing through the program may see your account blocked by an administrator. If you have any questions, please contact a developer. Regards, AGK [] 12:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

your assistance please[edit]

This edit of yours, without an edit summary, seems to have lost the previous edit history. I recognize text I wrote, in the current article -- but I am not listed in the article's contribution history.

The GFDL and CC liscenses we release our intellectual property under, when we contribute new content to the project, while generous, do require that our contributions remain attributed to us.

Some experienced administrators know how to graft together contribution histories from multiple articles if content was moved by cut and paste, rather than through the use of the "move" button.

It would be helpful if you said where you cut this text from. Geo Swan (talk) 19:13, 29 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You left this message for me.
OK, I took a closer look at your contribution history. Please never make edits like this pair again. [1] [2]. I checked your last 500 edits in article space, and I don't see you making that kind of edit within that group. Preserving who contributed intellectual material is not a courtesy -- it is a legal requirement of the {{gfdl}} and {{cc}} licenses we use.
I'll ask for an administrator to try and repair the history.

PortableTor listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect PortableTor. Since you had some involvement with the PortableTor redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talktrack) 14:15, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
