State of the Nation[edit]

User:62.25.109.194 keeps adding State of the Nation to the main tracklisting, this is not part of the album and wasn't on the original issue - its a bonus track on certain re-releases. I'm not wrong in changing back their edits am I? SaltyWater 16:56, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't think "State of the Nation" was on the original release. --Hn 19:51, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, you are in the right. My CD version does not have the track, for example. Folkor 21:54, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've never heard of a CD that lacks it, but it's certainly the case that it wasn't on the original vinyl LP and is not considered to be "officially" part of the album. --Bonalaw 15:29, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:NewOrderBrotherhoodCover.jpg[edit]

Image:NewOrderBrotherhoodCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guitar as a main instrument[edit]

There is a 'citation needed' on the claim that New Order woud not use guitar as a main instrument again until Get Ready. I don't think you can provide a reasonable citation for this, as it's not really true. For instance, their next LP, Technique, features several songs that are guitar-driven: "All The Way," "Love Less," "Guilty Partner," "Run" and "Dream Attack." That's roughly half of the album, much like Brotherhood. They just didn't divide it by album sides, as they did on Brotherhood. Therefore, I'd like to delete the sentence altogether. I am posting my thoughts here to see if there any objections first. --Leamanc (talk) 02:19, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
