Hello, Mark Patterson. Welcome to Wikipedia.

A few tips for you to start going. (I'll send more if I see that I can help you :-)

  • Just edit stuff off the cuff for a while. We like that!
  • When you have time, check out Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers + the links in there.
  • You can sign your stuff on talk pages with ~~~~ It will convert to your username + the time. "anon" is fine too.
  • If puzzled, put a question on Wikipedia:Village pump, or feel free to ask me on my talk page if it's a very general question.
  • Most of all, have fun but take our work seriously!

P.S. (i.e. Boilerplate endeth :) Wow. You certainly have credentials up the wazoo. Really glad to have you on board. As an answer to your question about us lacking facilities for generalized automatic alphabetization, the answer is probably in us lacking sufficient numbers of programmers to code such features. Looks like you might certainly have abilities to help in that regard, if you feel so inclined. Suggest you leave a message on Tim Starlings talkpage or Brion Vibber's talkpage if you want jump in at the deep end and volunteer to code such a utility yourself. -- Cimon Avaro on a pogostick 05:29, Nov 19, 2003 (UTC)

Hey! I've created this new notice board specifically for articles related to people from the U.S. South. If you are interested in contributing, leave a message on the page and add articles you feel need to be reviewed, contributed to, or started. Mike H 21:14, Sep 29, 2004 (UTC)
