Mokosz?

There's also Mokosz, which is probably the same goddess. --Romanm 15:11, 16 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I made this page to be a redirect to Mokosz and merged it content to it. The old content on this page was:

Mokoš, Mokosz (read: Mokosh), - goddess of Slav. pantheon, hypostasis of Goddess Earth (Russ. mat' syraja zemlja „mather - moist earth"); theonym (with sexual connotation: Russ dial. mokos'ja „a prostitute" - degradation of some elements of worship of fecundity?) with core “mok-“ compare to OldSlav. mok-rъ < *mok-r-os „wet". M. is performed as a woman - household spirit, with large head, spining wool by night (Russ. folklore). She was probably partner (or mother) of Thunderlord (Perun).
see also: Perperuna .

Please change the Mokosz page if you want to add this content to it. --Romanm 13:13, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
