Wrong Translation, the word "timão" can mean in purtuguese both "Ship Helm" and "Big Team". In this case, Corithians's Fans and brazilian media means "Big Team", not "Ship Helm" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.139.100.21 (talk) 15:58, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bias in the rivalry section[edit]

I think that some of the text talking about the various rivalries read too much like they are written by a fan of the club. Would be nice if someone could rewrite some parts in a more neutral way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.76.89.29 (talk) 00:06, 23 June 2013 (UTC) You are correct. This rivalry section seems indeed written by a supporter of the Club, there are mentions which does not subjectively mean they are related to the information.[reply]

Criteria for adding players to the Players list[edit]

Criteria for adding players to the list should be defined and reasoning for reverting changes should be added based on that criteria.

Example: User User:Gsfelipe94 has reverted changes that added players that were registered for official matches (and assigned a jersey number) and the reasons for the revert are unknown.

Ronald and Igor Marques have the same status in the roster as players such as Matheus Donelli and Guilherme Castellani who never played and are only occasionally registered for matches.

If the criteria is the official club's web-site, then there are other players (including the aforementioned Donelli) who are not listed there and should be removed then. Fregonassi (talk) 23:47, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Such players were registered for one match and never played, going back to the Academy squad as the club had injuries or players that were not available for other reasons. They were never made part of the first team (there are no news saying they became full time members like Donelli, Castellani, Xavier, Roni etc.). If you are registered for one game, do not participate in such match and never come back to the main squad, should you be listed? Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:15, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that is good reasoning but the cases are a bit more complex: Ronald is not featuring in the U-20 squad games anymore after being called up to the main squad. He might go back to U-20 or U-23 with Marllon returning from loan, but that has yet to be confirmed. Igor is not eligible to U-20 anymore and has not featured the U-23 preparation matches for the upcoming U-23 national championship. We should expect more cases like these to happen in the near future, so defining criteria would be the best. Fregonassi (talk) 00:52, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Another possibility could be adding a section similarly what is done in the Manchester United F.C. article, including "under-23s and academy players with senior squad numbers" Fregonassi (talk) 00:56, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. I've noticed they use that a lot. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 01:53, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That being said, Donelli could be removed for not being in the web-site, despite regularly training with the main squad. They could be listed in the current season for means of historic register. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:23, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Guilherme played the first 3 matches of the ongoing U-20 competitions, but since then Donelli is featuring in the U-20 squad and Guilherme is back to the main squad. They are probably in a rotation between both squads as both were in official photos with Mancini today. Fregonassi (talk) 00:52, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
