It was also not listed as a "List of..." which is contrary to Wikipedia policy. Fixed now. -- goatasaur

This page is hilarious. I don't think that was its purpose, but its making me crack up. "Fictional" Guest Stars[edit]

I'm not sure how (or if) this should be added, but I think it should: a section for fictional appearances, ie: "The West Wing"s First Lady Abbey Bartlet appeared in an episode in "The West Wing Universe" as the First Lady promoting health insurance or something in Eppur Si Muove (The West Wing). I'm sure other shows have made up characters that were said to have appeared on sesame street - Add it? - A.J. 02:44, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No. Elmo and crew appear on an episode of West Wing, not on an episode of Sesame Street. However, Stockard Channing, Allison Janney, and Lily Tomlin are all listed here, as they appeared as themselves in a short clip of one episode. -- Zanimum 16:33, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nixon?[edit]

Was I just hallucinating, or had Richard Nixon appeared on Sesame Street at some point?

That was Laugh In, a show that heavily inspired the segment format of Sesame Street. His appearance sparked a whole craze in stunt casting, that lasted a few decades, and arguably still exists. -- Zanimum 14:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recent changes by anonymous user at 207.7.161.25[edit]

User:207.7.161.25 just made another set of additions, which I reverted. The user at this address has a history of vandalizing this page and others by making plausible-seeming additions and changes. For example, this same address yesterday changed [[Gone with the Wind to say that it started ROnald Coleman, Lucille Ball, and Joan Fontaine, instead of Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh, and Olivia de Havilland.

The changes that this user made today were similarly plausible-seeming, and I can't immediately refute any of them. But they were all uncited, and given this user's behavior in the past, I thought it was more likely than not that at least some of them were bogus.
