This should be a disambig page.[edit]

Fujin is much more important in the context of Japanese mythology; multiple games/anime/manga, including Final Fantasy and Flame of Recca, have characters based on this name. In addition, various places in China are named Fujin.--Confuzion 19:40, 7 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Don't forget Zelda the Wind Waker, that had Raijin and Fujin in it. ^^

Video Games??[edit]

I think the video-game stuff is completely over the top. If I want to read about an ancient deity, do I really want it to be on the same page as a description of the plot of a video game? I think not. I'd much prefer to see two separate pages on this.

It just seems inappropriate that there is more written here about video games than there is about the actual wind deity himself.

The photograph in the Origins section has the above caption. Shouldn't those dates be indicated to be BCE? I don't know the answer.

Please do not make the legend of the fiction.[edit]

A legend of Japanese Buddhism states that Fūjin and Raijin, the god of thunder, were both originally evil demons who opposed Buddha ^{[citation needed]}. He is said to have been present at the creation of the world and when he first let the winds out of his bag, they cleared the morning mists and filled the Gate between heaven and earth so the sun shone.

Where are sources of information? Such a tradition is not in Japan

Shinto Myth. Fuijin is written by Kojiki.[edit]

According to Kojiki, Fujin(Shina-Tsu-Hiko) was born from Izanami. It is explained that it is the god of the wind(風神) by a commentary of Kojiki. 221.185.253.158 (talk) 08:44, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
