can change when wants to?[edit]

we only ever saw him try and stop the change, sometimes unsuccessfully. why then does it say he can change to werewolf when he wants to?

His werewolf powers are now tied to his emotion, so when he is angry

and about to turn he can stop the transformation with his meditation skills. Thus having control over his werewolf transformation.

Genius[edit]

Isn't Oz supposed to be really smart like Willow. Because if I remember correctly, they actually met the first time was because they were both really smart with a computer or something? Meraculas 23:58, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I know that I am about to answer my own question but I checked. Oz and Willow (this is revealed in the episode "What's My Line, Part 1") were the only two Sunnydale students to meet the "criteria". They were chosen to meet with the head of some really important software company. Meraculas 00:01, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Into the Wild[edit]

Hi, I added the info on the Oz comics/novel. I wanted to include some images as well, such as the cover to Oz #2 or the cover to the novel, but I wasn't sure how to do it. Can someone with better Wiki skills try and do it instead? The cover to Oz #2 is a really good image of Oz in werewolf form, so try to use that please. 86.154.95.174 03:44, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Daniel Osbourne.jpg[edit]

Image:Daniel Osbourne.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:31, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Willing to Wait[edit]

I think something should be said about Oz's willingness to hold back on the physical relationship until Willow was ready. I don't know how common or uncommon this might be in the real world, but it struck me as particularly uncommon for TV. I recall at least two instances where he clearly stated that he (1) would not kiss Willow and (2) would not have sex with Willow until she was doing it because she truly wanted to, not for some other reason. Since it's unusual for male characters on TV (especially those around his age), I think this deserves a mention on the page, but I'll leave it to someone who can come up with the actual quotes or at least find the scenes for proper citations. Thank you. Kilyle 09:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing redundant/unconfirmed information[edit]

I've removed a large part of the section "Into the wild" and integrated the rest into "Non-Canonical Appearances". Because Into the wild is non-canon material, I don't believe a full synopsis should be given here; none of the other Buffy-related character pages have this, and a link to the seperate articles about the comics and novels should be enough. Moreover, keeping the section would mean that both the information of "Into the wild" and "Queen of the slayers" would be mentioned twice (once under the heading "Into the wild" and once under "non-canonical appearances").

I've also edited the character info box, more specifically "Notable powers": Heightened senses due to werewolf physiology, even when in human form. Confirmed is improved scent, possibly better hearing and sight as well. Improved hearing and sight has never been mentioned nor referenced to in any material, be it canon or non-canon, and thus shouldn't be mentioned here. (The section Powers and abilities gives a good overview.)

Lastly, I moved the trivia section downwards to the end of the page, as I feel Trivia is less improtant than Romantic relationships and Appearances. If anyone disagrees with this, feel free to change it back.

Not often or/and necessarily saying the opposite[edit]

Oz is, if discussibly by interpretation indisputably by description (see Wild At Heart s4e6), more often and/or with emphasism described as stoic rather than ironic. I vote for a change/addition of this term and its reference in the concerned passages.

Angel[edit]

In the article, it says Seth Green reprises his role in an episode of Angel. I don't think that's true. I certainly couldn't find the episode. If it's true, and someone knows which episode of Angel he appeared in, it should be added to the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.162.0.63 (talk) 00:44, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Creation[edit]

Where is the evidence that Joss Whedon created the character? Unless there is evidence stating otherwise, it can only be assumed that the character was created by Matt Kiene and Joe Reinkemeyer who wrote the first episode that Oz appeared in. DJ1AM (talk) 12:04, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
